Position Overview
The Leisure Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering the elevated service standards synonymous with Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This detail-driven, guest-focused position provides comprehensive support to Travel Advisors and Leisure Sales Managers while serving as a key liaison between Sales, Reservations, and Operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional communication, proactive follow-through, and the ability to cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with Travel Advisors and Consortia Partners.
This role is instrumental in maximizing revenue opportunities while ensuring every guest experience reflects the resort’s Forbes-rated luxury standards.
- Receive, book, and service Consortia and Travel Advisor reservations, ensuring the accurate setup and execution of all VIP reservations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Travel Advisors through timely responses, proactive outreach, and consistent follow-up.
- Audit arrivals to confirm guest profiles, preferences, and special requests are thoroughly documented to support personalized service.
- Coordinate preferred partner amenities, VIP inclusions, and special considerations to consistently exceed Travel Advisor expectations.
- Facilitate site-visits/property tours for potential guests to highlight resort accommodations, event venues, amenities, and bespoke services, ensuring each guest gains a comprehensive understanding of the resort’s offerings while receiving attentive, tailored service.
- Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to prepare for VIP arrivals and experiences, maintaining detailed knowledge of each VIP guest’s needs.
- Stay current on all hotel communications, promotions, and property updates.
- Maintain and update Consortia partner websites to ensure accurate and current content.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador and contribute positively to a collaborative sales team environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Two or more years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Knowledge of Opera, Revinate, ALICE, and Sertifi preferred.
- Experience working with high-end Travel Advisors and Consortia partners preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent task orientation and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and professional phone etiquette.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through and follow-up.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Personable, polished, and consistent in delivering a high level of service.
- Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while adhering to all department and company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
