Job Description
A Medical assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. Caring for patients with acute and chronic needs, the assistant will communicate clearly with patients through various modalities including telephone and in‑person interactions.
Shift DetailsFull-time (40 hrs/week) – Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
Unit/LocationPahrump Primary Care – Pahrump Clinic, Pahrump, Nevada.

Role Responsibilities- Provide patient care under the direction of the clinician, assisting the provider to gather information that is relevant to the patient’s visit and condition.
- Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities, including telephone and in‑person interactions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate patient care, paying close attention to detail and ensuring follow‑through.
- Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program, or at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience, or an active RN/LPN license in the state of Utah.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers (must be obtained prior to start date).
- Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI).
- For Utah‑only applicants with less than one year of MA experience, a year‑long MA residency program may be available.
- Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
- Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
- Current national MA certification (e.g., RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMA).
Hourly rate: $19.87 – $28.31, dependent upon experience.
