The Occupational Therapist is accountable for safe, effective patient and family-centered care in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the organization. The staff Occupational Therapist will provide services to all age populations 0-65+ older populations in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team. The Occupational Therapist will utilize established policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
ResponsibilitiesProvides consistent, exceptional care at all times; responsible for delivering services to a wide range of patient levels including acute, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and hospice clients.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team, in accordance with CMS guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to identify and meet individualized needs of all patients served; performs direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults and adjusts care plan as needed.
Initial and repeat assessments at appropriate intervals; monitors and ensures accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist with Hand Therapy experience. CHT preferred
- National Board Certified Occupational Therapist (NBCOT) Certification – Required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Nevada OT licensure within the first 6 months
- Proficient computer skills;
Epic experience preferred - Critical thinking, decisive clinical judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with various departments and outside of the Barton Health System
- Attention to detail to adhere to regulatory standards
