Pharmacy Technician

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Count, measure and prepare specified products using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure best value to the customer and the company.
• Answer phone calls, triage queries, and respond to inquiries appropriately.
• Operate cash registers and handle electronic fund transactions (credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash and check) according to cashier policies.
• Accept and tender vendor coupons, manage cash shortages, and follow shrink guidelines.
• Maintain departmental standards – clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Handle conflict constructively in a high‑paced and occasionally stressful environment.
• Assist with ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Adhere to company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Follow health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPAA) regulations and company policies.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation and health code regulations.
• Respond to incidents of illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meet minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Familiarity with EPRN.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations and ability to report illegal activity.
• Understanding of ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Experience with computerized inventory management and medication dispensing systems.
• Ability to maintain departmental cleanliness and organization.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high‑paced environment.
• Integrity and honesty regarding customer and business information.
• Experience supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
