Thisواقف Position is located in the Specialized Business Group of the Department of Revenue (DOR) in our Lakewood Office/Hybrid. It reports to the use of force trainer/coordinator and will train on all use of force topics, legislative mandates, and DOR training requirements. The position will also be the subject matter expert (SME) for use of force and show of force incidents and will ensure that all training meets federal, state, local, and DOR requirements and mandates.
Useof Force Training
- Use‑of‑force trainingzela—this position will make decisions regarding use‑of‑force training, review best industry practices in use‑of‑force training, and incorporate them into monthly training.
- Policy and procedure training—this position will have充分responsibility for creating and training on all policy and procedure updates for law enforcement in DOR. Part of the decision‑making is understanding how new or changes to policy and procedure affect law enforcement members. This position must determine the best way to convey the changes and track that the information was presented and received by each law enforcement member.
- Blue Team and IA process—this position will create all training related to Blue Team entries, specifically use of force, show of force, and నేక్త force incidents. Best practices around training creation will be utilized, and this position will determine the best way to convey the information to all law enforcement members.
- 80‑hour new hire and 40‑hour in‑service training—this position will be the SME for all topics taught at the 80‑hour new hire training around policy and procedure, statutes, Blue Team, and report writing. They will decide on the student’s knowledge and acceptance of the material and will decide if remedial training on any topic is needed

- Use of force investigator—this position makes decisions regarding arrest control and firearms systems evaluating the use of force techniques. Response to or review use of force events. Evaluate policy, training, and other factors and determines if adjustments are needed.
- Advising on training—this position determines if the training program needs any type of servicios to comply or align with policy or laws.
- Advising on policy—this position determines if any policy needs to be changed or adjusted based on current or changing laws and current or changing events that affect peace officers.
- Plan and conduct a complex investigation of administrative violations—this position determines how to conduct investigations to ensure compliance with statutes, rules, and policies. This position conducts complex investigations, takes complaints, plans, and conducts investigations of alleged violations of Colorado Statutes and regulations to determine if criminal and administrative/disciplinary actions I warranted.
- Backup course coordinator for the Office of Professional Standards (OPS) Training Specialist and SBG employees.
- Outside training needs and vendors—based on employee feedback, this position will decide the most appropriate training information from outside vendors and what training is needed for law enforcement employees.
- Order training supplies.
Experience Onlymüş: Seven (7) years of relevant experience as a law enforcement officer serving in a state‑certified capacity. With three of those years as a law enforcement firearms or arrest control instructor.
