Position: SUPERVISORY MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER with Security Clearance
Location: Nellis Air Force Base

Duties
* Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Mission Support Directorate.
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Represents Mission Support with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
* Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments to include long-term planning, functional/technical advice and guidance, and continuity of management.
* Serves as Chief Contracting Officer Representative for Range Support Services Contact. Requirements Conditions of employment

* If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:

* Disclosure of Political Appointments
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
* May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
* May require work at remote locations with limited medical capabilities.
* The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
* Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security and public safety.
* The duties of this position meet all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or (con't)
* mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively.
* This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301. SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of Major Range and Test Facility Base Management and operational guidelines. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures, and natural/cultural resources management. Knowledge of sources and factual information about and related to financial management, resources programming and acquisition management processes and initiatives.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE:

Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,

* Ability to plan, coordinate, and adjust work operations of multiple organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

* Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
* Knowledge of sources and factual information about and related to financial management, resources programing and acquisition management processes and initiatives. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
