Overview

Solidus Resources is a U.S.

-based gold development company backed by Waterton Mining. The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius.

The Spring Valley Project is a large-scale open pit gold heap leach operation, with a >10 year mine life and a production profile in excess of 300,000 oz annually. Using 300-ton class autonomous mining haul trucks and electric hydraulic shovels, the higher-grade ore will be crushed in a 13 Mst/a three stage crushing facility with a ½” product size that is conveyed and placed on the heap leach pad with stackers, while the low-grade run-of-mine ore will be directly stacked using the mine truck fleet.

The conventional heap leach pad is segregated into these two operating areas where it will be irrigated, with leach solutions collected and processed into ore bars through the ADR facility. Site infrastructure to support the operation such as haul roads, waste rock storage facilities, truck shops, water management, warehouses, offices, etc are also included in the project scope.

Position Overview: Senior Project Performance Engineer will act as the owner’s representative, provide an important supporting role to the President in satisfying project construction and pre-operational requirements are tracking against plan through all areas of construction disciplines including earthworks, civil infrastructure, mechanical, structural, and electrical works. The SPE is accountable for collecting information on contractor performance, quality assurance, schedule adherence, and interface management between contractors and project teams.

A key objective of the SPE is to understand any gaps between project progress and project cost and the efficiency of third-party contractors.

• Strong understanding of MSHA requirements and ability to identify opportunities to improve safety.
• Review cost reporting data and provide a defensible position if reporting / approved invoices and the field progress align.
• Review schedule data and provide a defensible position if reporting and field progress align.
• Liaison between the project and operations team to ensure issues are identified and addressed before an inflection point is reached.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports.

• Prior experience in an owner’s representative, owner’s engineer, or project assurance role strongly preferred.
• Experience on a construction site with a focus on heavy civil or mining.
• 5-10 years’ experience
• Deep understanding of project controls and project metrics.
• Strong Excel and technical writing skills with a focus on C suite reporting expectations.
• Proven ability to influence without directing
• Bachelor’s Degree
