About the Role
Manage Air Permitting and Compliance for Hawthorne Army Depot:
- Manage and maintain Nevada air quality permits (Class I and Class II) ensuring relevancy and compliance.
- Coordinate with HWAD personnel and regulators on air compliance matters.
- Oversee regulatory compliance activities, including emissions testing, continuous monitoring, and inspections, managing subcontractors as needed.
- Develop and implement plans and procedures.
- Prepare internal and external reports.
- Supervise internal environmental audits.
- Maintain records required by regulations.
- Support other HWAD environmental compliance areas (hazardous waste, water, etc.).
- Assist with managing RCRA Hazardous Waste TSDF permits and NPDES wastewater discharge permits.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, environmental sciences, or related field.
- At least 7 years of environmental management experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations.
- Experience obtaining and managing permits.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with environmental management systems.
- Certified in 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, with 8-hour refresher.
- Ability to obtain a “Secret” security clearance.
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on a Department of Defense (DoD) facility.
