EVS Lead Porter

Summary

Responsible for leading assigned team members in the successful completion of assigned tasks, projects, and job duties in the EVS department.

• Assists EVS Supervisor in daily operations within the department
• Assist with training, developing, and measuring performance to ensure that the department is operating efficiently
• Provide direction to assigned staff and oversee projects assigned to staff
• Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks
• Train new and incumbent team members in their job duties and develop and implement work incentive programs to improve team member productivity
• Thorough knowledge of EVS operations
• Respond to calls and communicates with supervisors, office, and subordinates
• Tolerate the presence and/or use of chemicals, cleaners, and solvents
• Understand and comply with the daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
• Check all areas for cleanliness; assist in supervising work in all areas; check for cleanliness of areas from floor to ceiling
• Organize assigned tasks into similar groups to facilitate performance
• Maintain inventories on all cleaning supplies and equipment as well as ordering
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum one year experience in EVS
• Previous experience working with chemicals, cleaning products and solvents as well as the correct use of each
• Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to effectively interact with large groups of people
• Proven experience providing high level of guest service
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States
