What we doSports Betting/Fantasy Sports unit ensures honesty and integrity in the sports betting and fantasy sports industry through education, compliance, and enforcement. The unit ensures the physical and logistical security of sports wagering online and in off‑site Sports Betting areas.
A typical day of an Administrator IIIThe Division of Gaming is hiring a self‑starter who will work in the Lakewood Office (Remote). This professional will provide support to the Sports Betting/Fantasy Sports sections and the Senior Management Staff of the Sports Betting Unit by performing administrative, logistics, and operational duties. The role also supports the Division’s hiring functions with the Office of Human Resources.
Job DutiesAssistant to the Chief of Investigations/Deputy Director (Sports Betting)
- The Sports Betting Operations Coordinator serves as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Investigations – Deputy Director of Sports Betting and Fantasy Sports programs, performing administrative and operational tasks.
- Uses judgment on which issues come to the Chief or are assigned to others.
- Coordinates communications with the Chief, other staff, other divisions, or outside parties.
- Assists the Chief with special project assignments and assists the Agents in Charge as needed.
- Coordinates unit business including scheduling of meetings, developing agendas, collecting and distributing materials, and preparing minutes if needed.
- Make purchases and update/keep equipment inventory related to the unit’s business needs.
- Coordinate and schedule travel for Senior Staff of the Sports Betting Unit.
- Enter data into Core for purchasing items or services for the Sports Betting section.
- Provides assistance with daily tasks to the Agent in Charge and/or Program Manager when needed.
- Works with Senior Management to prepare quarterly industry newsletters.
- Manages and maintains forms and memo letterheads for the unit, assisting during periods of recodification.
- Monitors sports betting vehicle and equipment inventory.
- Keeps unit policy and procedure final drafts updated and organized in the current system.
- Coordinates with upper‑level management and OHR to implement the Division’s staffing plan, ensuring proper documentation for the Division’s positions.
- Maintains tracking and organization of all employee files, processing paperwork for new or vacant positions, worker‑comp and LWOP issues submitted to the HR Office.
- Acts as the liaison between the Department of Revenue Human Resources office and the Division of Gaming, initiating requisitions in Neo Gov and contacting applicants for interviews, background documents, and further evaluations.

Minimum QualificationsSix (6) years of relevant experience supporting leadership.

A combination of related education in Business and/or relevant experience or a closely related field equal to six (6) years.
Necessary Special Requirements- Must be able to pass a background check/Tax Check.
- Applicants must successfully pass a background investigation and a tax check prior to appointment to positions in the Gaming Division.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license (at the time of application).
