Job Summary
Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the overall commercial and risk management of the Bank’s external third‑party suppliers. To meet increasing business demands, SCM is establishing a new capability to support Contract Managers/Owners in fulfilling their obligations for managing third‑party contracts under their accountability.
The Manager, Contract Management Services (CMS), Banking Operations and Marketing leads and supports a sub‑category of Banking Operations and Marketing services. In addition to leading the team, this role serves as a subject matter expert with deep industry expertise in the sub‑category and ensures that Contract Managers/Owners receive the necessary support to meet their contract management and ownership obligations throughout the contract lifecycle, in alignment with banking regulations and risk requirements.
The Manager, CMS, Banking Operations and Marketing will work closely with SCM Global Category Management Heads, SCM Category Leads/Managers, SCM Supplier Managers, SCM Cluster Leads and Contract Managers/Owners to drive continuous improvement.
- Support the Lead, CMS in accelerating the delivery of efficiencies and advancing CMS services across the Bank and all applicable categories, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s overall procurement lifecycle objectives.
- Provides strategic oversight and operational leadership for Banking Operations and Marketing sub‑category within CMS services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of stakeholder issues across the Bank.
- Contribute to the design and development of the overall CMS framework to clarify roles and responsibilities, particularly in work allocation between category, supplier management, and sourcing teams. This includes articulating the scope and value proposition of Contract Management Services.
- Represent the function when required to drive and support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Refinement Forums. Activities include requirements gathering, prioritization of SCM/business/function needs, adoption planning, ad‑hoc system testing, and collaboration with key stakeholders on initiatives related to digital transformation and enablement in line with Bank objectives.
- Support the ideation and development of technology advancements (e.g., AI, automation, tooling) to enhance and scale CMS capabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Contract Managers/Owners and SCM stakeholders.
- Play an advisory role in the development of the CMS framework and end‑to‑end contract lifecycle process starting with supporting Contract Managers with completing risk assessments, through to contract expiry together with the completion and delivery of all obligations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Contract Managers/Owners, procurement, legal, compliance, finance, and business units.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Banking Operations and Marketing CMS inquiries and issues.
- Drive adoption of category strategies and embedding sustainability as part of the CMS processes.
- Provide regular updates, dashboards, and reports to senior management on sourcing process activities and performance, including progress updates on key initiatives (e.g. FFG, cost optimisation programmes, etc)
- Support the input of design and requirements for the platform and tools strategy for CMS.
- Play a key role in driving the adoption of AI and automation, across the services suite within the capability to demonstrate efficiencies, standardisation, and digitization.
- Support initiatives and identify use cases to optimise process and cost efficiency (e.g. Automation, AI, Process Simplification)
- Leverage technology and best practices to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy and accessibility.
- Drive initiatives to optimise value creation through effective contract management.
