Job Description & How to Apply Below
Join to apply for the Product Developer Knitwear role at Just Brands - Fashion & Retail
Do you have a sharp eye for detail, love good quality, and know your way around knitwear? Then you might be just who we’re looking for!
As our Product Developer Knitwear, you’ll turn creative ideas into real pieces — developing commercial knitwear styles that look great, fit well, and meet our design, quality, and margin goals. You’ll work closely with designers, product developers, and suppliers to make sure each style reaches its best potential.
You bring a mix of technical know-how, a strong sense of fashion, and good commercial thinking. Throughout development, you’ll review fit, check for production and costing risks, and make sure the details are right — both technically and visually. You’ll keep our PLM system up to date so suppliers have everything they need, and you’ll work with them to find smart solutions that balance design, cost, and quality.
Good planning and time management are key in this role. You know how to keep things moving, set priorities, and stay focused on quality.
You’re naturally curious about the knitwear world, keeping your finger on the pulse of new materials, stitches, and techniques — and you bring your knitwear passion to your work every day.
Responsibilities
Develop knitwear styles from prototype to production.
Specify and manage styles in PLM with attention to detail and accuracy.
Review prototype fits, measurements, constructions and price.
Work with suppliers to cost‑engineer product while maintaining design and quality.
Carry out material and product risk assessments.
Support style allocation, cost calculations, and negotiations.
Visit suppliers for development trips.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; AMFI, Saxion, or TMO preferred.
At least 3 years of experience as a developer.
Technical knowledge of knits, materials, and fit development.
Good understanding of garment costing, values, and construction.
A great eye for detail — both design and technical.
Skilled in critical path management and able to meet deadlines efficiently.
Experience collaborating with suppliers on cost and quality improvements.
Passion for knitwear and awareness of market trends.
Fluent in English;
Dutch or German is a plus.
Available 5 days a week at our HQ in the Netherlands.
Benefits
A salary that truly reflects your expertise and today’s market.
A year‑end bonus equal to one full month’s gross salary.
