Description:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.
Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs and physician medical diagnosis.
Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
Manages care of patients.
Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards.
Supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The unit includes postpartum, antepartum, labor, and nursery, allowing for flexible assignment based on needs.
Required skills include a minimum of one year of experience in the related specialty.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and additional certifications such as ACLS, Advanced AWHONN, or EFM.
