Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The nurse plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. The role involves identifying patient needs and determining priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.

• Initiate assessment based on patients' problems or needs and the physician's medical diagnosis.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.

• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.

• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in a major acute care hospital setting.

• Must have a strong Medical Surgical/Telemetry background.

• Required certifications include NIHSS, Telemetry, BLS-AHA, and a NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
