Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs, along with identifying priorities for care through ongoing assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.

• Initiate assessments based on patients' problems or needs, physician's diagnosis, and health framework.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.

• Document care based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

• Advocate for evidence-based care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.

• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Schedule
This position requires 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working three times a week with every other weekend required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma within an inpatient setting.

Education:

ASN;

Preferred Education:

BSN.

• Required

Certifications:

BLS - AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

• Preferred

Certifications:

Telemetry, Chemotherapy Certification with ONS.
