This position works independently or within a team to assemble quality fabricated metal components for furniture to work order specifications in an incentive-based manufacturing environment.

• Fabricate metal material according to La-Z-Boy quality requirements.
• Operate press, machine maintenance to maximize program yields.
• Load die and set up the machine, adjusting for each job.
• Keep all moving parts of machine lubricated.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to relocate materials, supplies, and parts as needed.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to our quality standards.
• Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Operate equipment in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.
• Rework non-conforming parts as necessary.
• Control quality and waste.
• Demonstrate teamwork and motivation for job requirements.
• Follow health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean work area.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to read complex print specifications.
• Use and understand measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, etc.).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills.
• Obtain PIV license.
• Achieve performance standards.
• Excellent attendance; 3 points or less.
• No safety written warnings.

• Bilingual.
