Job DescriptionThe Neosho School District is searching for a qualified FACS teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. Responsible for delivering engaging, hands‑on instruction in nutrition, food preparation, kitchen safety, and essential life skills to students. This educator designs and implements lessons aligned with state curriculum standards, teaches foundational cooking techniques, meal planning, budgeting, and wellness concepts, and fosters a safe, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom and lab environment.
The role includes supervising students in food labs, maintaining equipment and inventory, assessing student progress through practical and written evaluations, and integrating topics such as healthy relationships, personal development, and consumer awareness. The teacher collaborates with colleagues, communicates regularly with parents and guardians, and supports the overall school community by promoting practical life skills that prepare students for responsible, healthy, and independent living.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Current Missouri Certification in FACS. Strong experience with integrating technology in the classroom. Self‑starter with growth mindset for self and students. Willingness to learn new things. Willingness to understand and support the district's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.

Salary: $43,500 Per Year
