Quality Engineer – Structural Airframe Components

BUOYANCY AEROSPACE was founded in 2022 to meet the rising demand for solutions in aerospace, space, and defense, markets underserved by a dysfunctional supply chain. With active production facilities in the UK and Germany and a growing workforce of currently >150 employees, we are scaling rapidly while already delivering to our customers.

We are seeking a Quality Engineer for the structural airframe components section of BUOYANCY AEROSPACE Ltd, UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely under the direction of the Quality Manager.
  • Communicate quality issues with customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare First Article Inspection reports.
  • Lead or support RCCA activities and the NCR process dealing with non‑conforming products while implementing robust corrective actions.
  • Generate, implement, and maintain procedures, processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Review and manage customer specifications.
  • Manage the calibration system.
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits.
  • Support reporting of KPIs.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • AS9100 internal auditor certification.
  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements.
  • IT literate.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive.
