Inside Sales Representative
OverviewIf you enjoy what you do, it’s not really work. We are looking for a talented inside sales representative to grow with us. This full-time role handles various incoming and outgoing sales-focused calls to help customers configure enclosures and supplies to fit their needs. We will then custom-make items and deliver nationwide. General knowledge of fish, birds, reptiles, and the pet industry is a plus but not required;
we provide full product training. Core requirement is experience with inbound sales calls and follow-ups plus a general mechanical aptitude.
- Receive incoming phone calls, answer questions, and address customer inquiries
- Acquire new business and nurture relationships to develop customer loyalty
- Oversee the entire sales and order process
- Assist customers visiting the corporate office for in-person demonstrations or questions
- Attend trade shows and conduct in-person sales calls for current or future customers as assigned
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management to effectively manage current and future customers
- Well organized with excellent time management skills
- Professional appearance and clear communication
- Ability to effectively communicate company products and services
- Troubleshoot issues and prioritize multiple tasks
- Self-motivated, with a drive to exceed sales goals
- Respond to calls, emails, and faxes to meet customer needs
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through audits and feedback
- High school education or GED required
- Minimum of one year experience taking inbound sales calls
- Experience making cold calls
- Make outbound calls to meet sales objectives
- Deliver effective sales presentations on company products
- Participate in sales meetings, training, and professional development
- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team player willing to collaborate and enhance company functions
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Document all sales activity into CRM application
- Willingness to learn and take on additional tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
