Park Maintenance Worker, Summer

The Fox Crossing Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for summer park workers. These positions maintain the Village’s parks, trails, and natural areas to include the buildings, grounds and equipment.

40 hours per week, plus rotating on-call weekends. Overtime pay is available for on-call weekends.

Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.

- 3:00 p.m. and Friday, 6:00 a.m.

- 10:00 a.m.

• Clean and service park shelters and restrooms
• Painting through the park system
• Hauling and spreading mulch
• Grounds maintenance of trees, flower beds and turf
• Assist in maintaining play equipment and structures
• Assist in maintaining operating equipment
• Employees will work independently and with peers
• Must be available to work weekends on a rotation

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Experience driving a pickup truck and trailer and/or lawn and garden equipment desired.
• Previous experience with grounds maintenance and grounds-related equipment (riding mowers, push mowers, rototillers, blowers, edgers, string trimmers, etc.) is helpful.
• Basic First Aid training helpful.
