Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day and night shifts

• Day shift: 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Night shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during orientation week and holidays when unit may be closed)

• Every other weekend required

• Holiday rotation based on unit needs

• Contract length: 13 weeks

• Float requirements throughout facility within skillset and to all facilities within 60-mile radius

• No on-call or call-back requirements

• Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of absence

• Must be flexible with day/night variable scheduling

• 8-hour non-billable orientation required

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN license (or compact), AHA BLS, and NIHSS

• Minimum 3+ years RN experience and 1 travel contract required

• EPIC charting experience within the last year strongly preferred

• Experience with stroke and post-op back/spine/cervical surgeries desired

• Scrub color requirement:
Black

• Patient ratio: 1:4 with typically 4-5 RNs and 2 patient care technicians per shift

• Primary cases include stroke patients, post-op spinal/brain surgeries, trauma patients, and TBI

• Associate degree or certificate required

• Previous travel experience required - no travelers within 50 miles of facility accepted

This healthcare organization operates a specialized 16-bed neurology unit focusing on stroke patients and post-operative care for brain, neck, and spine surgeries. The facility serves trauma patients and those with traumatic brain injuries, along with various medical patients. The unit maintains appropriate staffing ratios and utilizes modern electronic medical record systems to provide comprehensive neurological care.
