Starting Wage: $19.00/hour - $24.00/hour based on experience.
Shift: 2nd Shift
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 2:00pm - 12:00am
Typical Day in the Role: This position is responsible for the inspection and operation of printed roll materials while monitoring tension, label, and roll count of all finished products.
- Reads and understands job tickets to determine product specifications.
- Sets up and maintains slitter/rewinder converting equipment; load roll, guiding system, blades for slitting, and cores.
- Operates equipment, slitting rolls to final size.
- Brings machine up to optimal speeds for the product being run.
- Monitors operation of machinery to ensure product is being run efficiently while making any required adjustments.
- Adjusts speed, tension and pressure settings as necessary to maintain proper web tension.
- Packages rolls and prints tags with customer information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree required
- 1 or more years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude
- Willingness to utilize and learn new technology
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments.
