Manufacturing Experienced Machine Operators and Trimmers

• Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
• Can work up to 12-hour shifts, including some Saturdays
• Have prior machine operating or trimming experience
• Are enthusiastic about learning and building new skills!

• Machine Operator:
  Operate a wire-binding or pad-making machine with a crew to assist in order to meet and exceed production goals.
• Trimmer Operator:
  Operate a trimmer to ensure product is cut to correct size and specifications to meet quality standards and production goals.
• Sheeter Operator:
  Operate a sheeter that converts large rolls of paper into a usable format to support wire-binding and pad-machine lines and achieve production goals.

• Be a leader in safety and quality standards
• Troubleshoot mechanical and system issues
• Perform machine set-ups and change-overs to different types of products
• Process, understand, and plan for orders
• Participate in training of other team members and improvement of own skillset in order to operate multiple machines within the plant
• Take direction from management, supervisors, and operators
• Complete varied tasks within the plant, including frequently lifting items of up to 50 pounds and infrequently lifting items of up to 75 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and comfortable using computerized equipment
• Communicate and work effectively with a diverse workforce
• Operate lift equipment, stand-up or sit-down, at heights of up to 25 feet, as needed

• Prior machine operator or trimming experience is preferred.
• Must possess basic math skills that include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and calculation of averages.
• Ability to read standard and metric rulers.
• Ability to use light tools such as wrenches, channel locks, and screw drivers.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and problem solve in a variety of situations.
• Ability to work individually and in small groups.
• Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office related software.
