Carex is partnering with a manufactuing industry partner to find an experienced SAP S/4

HANA Functional Process Data Expert to support a global greenfield S/4

HANA implementation initiative. This role plays a critical part in enabling clean, governed, and standardized data across all value streams to ensure successful solution design, process execution, and system adoption. The Functional Process Data Expert will serve as the vital link between business process owners, SAP functional teams, and data enablement stakeholders to ensure data requirements are embedded across all transformation activities.

• Collaborate with global and regional business stakeholders to define data requirements aligned to standardized end-to-end processes.
• Translate business process designs into clear and actionable master and transactional data definitions for S/4
  
  HANA.
• Support template design and enforce consistency in data models, attributes, and hierarchies across regions.
• Define data objects, mandatory attributes, and business rules in alignment with SAP and industry best practices.
• Participate in and validate data cleansing, enrichment, and harmonization efforts.
• Develop and validate mapping rules from legacy systems to S/4
  
  HANA for effective migration.
• Support and participate in mock conversions, reconciliation, and data quality validation activities.
• Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of global data standards, governance policies, and stewardship frameworks.
• Assist in defining roles and ownership models for process data across value streams.
• Participate in testing cycles and cutover planning to ensure data supports functional and integrated testing scenarios.
• Provide data support during post-go-live hypercare and stabilization phases.

• 5+ years of SAP functional experience with a strong emphasis on data and process integration.
• Hands-on experience in greenfield SAP S/4
  
  HANA implementations across multiple business processes.
• Deep knowledge of SAP master data objects such as Material, BOM, Routings, Vendor/Customer (Business Partner), and Pricing.
• Understanding of the differences between ECC and S/4
  
  HANA data models.
• Proven track record supporting data migration, validation, and data quality initiatives.
• Experience with SAP MDG or similar data governance tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP Migration Cockpit, LVM, or ETL tools for data transformation and load.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data models and functional specs.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across global, cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in high-paced transformation environments.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, asset-intensive, or similar industries.
• Previous experience as a Functional Data Lead or contributing to global template and harmonized data model efforts.
