The Consumer Loan Servicer handles home equity disbursements, prepares lien releases on secured consumer loans and demonstrates a high level of detail-orientation, organizational skills, and time-sensitivity. They will know all of the key functions in consumer loan servicing, and provide exceptional service to members and employees. They share a variety of responsibilities on a rotating basis within the department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding, quality service to external and internal members
  • Disburse home equity loans from our loan origination system to the core system
  • Perform quality control on home equity closing documentation
  • Prepare lien releases and satisfactions for paid loans and send payoff confirmation letters
  • Complete loan maintenance requests and related transactions on our core system
  • Complete internal and external loan payoff quote requests
  • Electronically record mortgages and satisfactions to the County Register of Deeds
  • Process payment protection claims and apply approved funds to loans
  • Process GAP and Mechanical Repair Coverage cancellations
  • Work with 3rd parties to process total loss claims
  • Generate adverse action forms for all denied and withdrawn applications
  • Sort and process incoming department mail
  • Handle member and lender calls in the phone queue
  • Monitor and process emails received in the department shared inbox
Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have a combination of:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent degree (GED, HSED)
  • Minimum of one year of lending or financial services experience is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and web-based software packages
  • Passion for providing outstanding service to our members – internal and external
  • The ability to work hard, find solutions and have fun!
