Internship - Land Surveyor

Our surveying team is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Land Surveyor Intern. This role provides hands‑on experience in field surveying, data collection, mapping, and exposure to real‑world land development, engineering, and construction projects. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys working outdoors, and has strong technical curiosity.

• Field Work
  • Assist survey crews with daily field operations, including boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA surveys.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, levels, and data collectors.
  • Collect accurate field measurements and document site conditions.
  • Follow safety protocols and support traffic and site control as needed.
• Office & Technical Support
  • Process and organize survey data using CAD and survey software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center).
  • Assist in preparing survey drawings, maps, and reports.
  • Verify and check the accuracy of field measurements against project requirements.
  • Research property records, plats, deeds, and legal descriptions.
• Support field crews, project surveyors, and engineers with project tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project needs and progress.
• Participate in training and mentorship sessions to build surveying skills.

• Actively pursuing a degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Interest in land surveying, mapping, or civil engineering technology.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
• Strong math, problem‑solving, and spatial reasoning skills.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
