MD​/DO - Infectious Disease - Appleton, WI

Theda Care, Wisconsin's biggest non-profit healthcare system is seeking a BE/BC Infectious Disease Physician in Appleton and Neenah, Wisconsin.

• 1.0 FTE:
  Full time Infectious Disease physician in both inpatient and outpatient setting (50/50 split)
• Outpatient Clinic at Theda Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton:
  Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm
• Outpatient clinic averages 14-15 patients per day with support from PSR, MA and RN
• Inpatient Clinic:
  Theda Care Regional Medical Centers-Appleton & Neenah:
  Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with back up support from APC on Mondays and Friday
• Telehealth for Critical Access Hospitals
• Call: (call is by phone only and will start 1/1/2025)
• The clinical population is diverse, including HIV, hepatitis C, hepatitis B, STD's, surgical and community acquired infections, as well as robust orthopedic and neurosurgery patient population
• A referral base of 200+ primary care physicians are committed to partner with the Infectious Disease practice for inpatient and outpatient consultations

The physicians have excellent support staff, within the department itself and the organization overall, including Advanced Practice Clinicians as well as infusion and wound care nursing staff. The providers also have a close working relationship with Theda Care Home Care services. The physicians have an established, collaborative relationship with the hospitals through pharmacy & therapeutics, infection control and quality initiatives. A full time hospitalist program supports inpatient care;

infectious disease is a consulting service only.
