Therapeutic Support Specialist

Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Therapeutic Support Specialist! In this vital position, the Therapeutic Support Specialist provide safe, therapeutic, strength-based skill development and resiliency building activities for youth and families, within the home and community.

The focus of these activities support include:

• social and recreational engagement
• development and maintenance of friendships
• maintaining personal boundaries
• stress management/relaxation/and mindfulness
• daily living skills (ie: money management/use of public transportation)
• secondary education/pre-vocational/career planning and preparations
• strategies to prevent and address bullying of others and being bullied

Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours

• flexible hours between 8 a.m.
  
  - 8 p.m. to meet the needs of the families

Pay Rate: $22.28/hourly

Required Skills

• Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associates degree in mental health related discipline required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with youth and families
