Skilled Trades Partners is currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a reputable commercial construction contractor based in Needham, MA
. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to grow their career with a strong, team-oriented organization.
The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and project team to support all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout.
🔹 Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily communication and relationships with subcontractors
Support the Project Manager and project team with coordination of construction activities
Review and help coordinate contract documents
Assist in developing project schedules and budgets
Interface with permit plans and coordinate with city inspectors
Support project closeout with City/Town officials
Create and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Manage and distribute drawings and design documents
Assist in preparing bid packages and subcontracts
Attend and take an active leadership role in construction meetings
Submit invoices for payment and assist with cost estimating
Guide subcontractors and track long-lead items
Support the Estimating Department and field staff as needed
BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Knowledge of Procore and Timberline required
Internship or experience in public and/or private CM/GC projects preferred
Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to navigate active construction sites
