Technical Services Consultant - Polymer/Wastewater
Locations:
Port Neches, Port Arthur, Beaumont, Lumberton, TX. Remote based in Houston, frequent travel covering U.S., Canada, and Latin America (approximately 70% travel).
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Polymer and Pretreatment, the Technical Services Consultant provides application support to sales representatives and clients throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The role includes product screening, treatment program selection, troubleshooting, and technical assistance to advance the sales process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide field sales technical assistance and product recommendations, including plant surveys, proposal preparation, and sales presentations.
- Apply polymer chemistry knowledge and testing procedures to support customer and prospect needs.
- Assist sales representatives with product screening, treatment program selection, and troubleshooting to meet customer cost and performance objectives in the chemical/refining and food & beverage sectors.
- Travel throughout the continental U.S. on an average of three days per week, including two-night stays.
- Deliver field troubleshooting and technical assistance, such as problem solving, sales representative on‑site training, operator training, and equipment inspections.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields.
- Ten plus years of field experience in water and wastewater treatment, considered equivalent to a four‑year degree.
- Five or more years’ experience with a major water treatment company.
US‑only: $145,000 – $155,000 per year (compensation range may be modified in the future). In addition, we offer a comprehensive package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) eligibility.
