Irrigation Technician Position Summary

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing agricultural irrigation systems, including center pivot irrigation equipment. This position requires hands‑on mechanical and electrical skills to ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently and reliably. The technician will assist with pivot repairs, installation of remote communication systems such as Field Wise, electrical wiring of control panels, underground utility work, and construction tasks related to irrigation system installation.

• Install, maintain, and repair center pivot irrigation systems

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on irrigation equipment.
• Install and configure remote communication systems (Field Wise) on pivot irrigation systems.
• Perform electrical work
  , including wiring pivot control panels and related components.
• Assist with pivot system installation
  , including pouring concrete pivot pads and setting pivot bases.
• Perform underground work such as trenching, conduit installation, and running wire to pivots.
• Assist with pivot alignment, tower repair, gearboxes, motors, and drive components
  .
• Maintain service records and communicate job progress with supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working in agricultural and construction environments.
• Operate equipment such as trenchers, skid loaders, or other construction equipment when required.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed.

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
  .
• Experience with irrigation systems, agriculture equipment, or electrical service work preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  .
• Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions
  .
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  .

• Experience working with center pivot irrigation systems
  .
• Familiarity with remote irrigation monitoring systems such as Field Wise
  .
• Experience with electrical service work or agricultural electrical systems
  .
• Experience operating construction or trenching equipment
  .

• Primarily outdoor work in agricultural environments
  .
• Frequent travel to farms and rural job sites.
• Work may involve heights, electrical systems, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
  .
