Responsibilities- Participate in utility construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission lines.
- Set poles, string wire, and install transformers, lightning arresters, cut-outs, cross arms and insulators, and related components.
- Perform skilled lineman tasks in constructing 2,400 to 13,800 volt lines.
- Monthly meter reading.
- A minimum of five years experience in the electrical field or an accredited technical college line technician graduate is desirable.
- City is willing to train the right person.
Job will have a 40-hour work week, rotating on-call schedule, competitive salary, excellent fringe benefits including Group Health, Accident Insurance, Life Insurance, retirement plan along with vacation and sick leave.
Starting pay will be based on prior experience, qualifications and certifications -- pay range is $24.58 to $40.67 per hour.
