Overview
The Licensed Electrician will install and maintain electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner, and according to the National Electrical Code. This position will have a strong emphasis on troubleshooting equipment and systems typically found in an industrial environment. Applicants may supervise up to three Apprentice Electricians at a given time, and may be asked to serve as the Jobsite Foreman on construction projects.
This position is required to professionally and effectively interact with the customer.
This is a Full Time position and will be eligible for company benefits, such as health insurance, retirement IRA account with company match, paid holidays, paid vacation/sick leave, company tools, and paid continuing education expenses.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot circuits, controls, and instrumentation, and make repairs as needed
- Operate power tools such as threaders, benders, tuggers, drills, etc.
- Operate excavating equipment such as trenchers, excavators, skidloaders, aerial lifts, etc.
- Measure, calculate, bend and thread metallic conduit
- Pull wire and cable through raceways, either manually or with tugging equipment
- Lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds
- Read, understand, sketch, and modify electrical schematics
- Terminate circuit and control wiring, from low voltage to 480 VAC
- Supervise, coach, and train Apprentice Electricians
- Work indoors, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work at heights, such as on top of a grain elevator
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Travel to jobsites in the Nebraska area as needed
- Effectively and professionally communicate with customers and other company employees
- Hold a Journeyman or Electrical Contractor License with the Nebraska Electrical Board
- Maintain a safe work environment, for yourself and those working with you
- Hold a valid Driver's License
- Have ownership and a sense of pride in your work, and those you oversee
- Travels to jobsites in the Nebraska area as needed
- Read, understand, sketch, and modify electrical schematics
- Terminate circuit and control wiring, from low voltage to 480 VAC
