Senior Security Officer

Reporting to the Security Manager, the incumbent is responsible for supervising all security and fire safety duties to maintain hotel standards and ensure the safety of people, guests, employees and property.

• Supervise all security and fire safety duties to maintain hotel standards.
• Ensure safety and security of assets, people, guests, employees and others.
• Perform duties at lobby, driveway, patrol, escort duty and static duty.
• Monitor and operate CCTV, Fire Alarm System, Carpark system and other equipment in the Fire Command Centre.
• Observe and report any unusual behaviour and conduct of employees or guests.
• Monitor unauthorized vandalism, removal of property, review accidents and report within the hotel.
• Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazards; file reports on safety precautions.
• Handle incidents and investigate cases as assigned, including recovery of property and apprehension of offenders.
• Assist preliminary investigations into allegations of theft, etc.
• Efficiently use and maintain communication tools and equipment to enhance workflow productivity.
• Check and monitor security duties performed by Agency Security Officers at the Security Checkpoint.
• Attend to all hotel emergencies; render assistance to other departments as required.
• Cover any post in time of emergency; work extended shifts, with day off and vacation cancelled if needed.
• Undertake any other ad‑hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the Manager.

• At least 2 years of work experience in a similar capacity in the hotel industry.
• Valid Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD) Security License.
• Possess a relevant Workforce Skill Qualification certifying as a Senior Security Officer.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Other security‑related certificates are advantageous.
