The Key Account Executive / Assistant Manager manages and grows key modern trade and e-commerce accounts within the FMCG category. This role oversees major retail partners including DFI Retail Group and selected online platforms. The incumbent drives sales growth, expands distribution, optimizes promotions, and ensures operational excellence while building strong customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management
Serve as the main contact for buyers and category managers. Build collaborative relationships to support sustainable growth and alignment. Conduct regular reviews and resolve commercial or operational issues promptly.

Sales & Business Development
Understand category dynamics, shopper behaviour, and account performance to identify growth opportunities. Execute joint business plans to achieve sales targets and KPIs. Improve sales value, volume, and distribution while securing new listings and strengthening visibility.

Trade & Commercial Execution
Negotiate pricing, trade terms, and promotional activities in line with company guidelines. Plan and execute promotions to maximize sell-through and ROI. Partner with marketing team to ensure effective campaign and launch execution.

Operations & Forecasting
Manage daily operational matters including order coordination and promotion execution. Work with supply chain teams on accurate forecasting and optimal stock availability.

Performance & Analysis
Track sales, inventory, and promotional performance. Monitor competitor activities and market trends. Prepare reports and insights to refine account strategies.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
