Position: Staff Nurse (Hyperthermia Therapy)
Location: Orchard

The Staff Nurse is responsible for proper patient preparation, monitoring, and post-treatment care while maintaining strict adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices. This role partners closely with physician to support high-quality patient care throughout the patient care journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' eligibility and provide pre-treatment instructions
  • Monitor and record vital signs, manage patient comfort, and observe for potential reactions
  • Explain the procedure and address patient concerns
  • Educate patients and family members on care plans, as well as providing emotional support
  • Work with physician to provide the best care to patients
Equipment & Safety
  • Set up, operate, and basic troubleshooting of hyperthermia equipment
  • Ensure correct positioning of patients and applicators to optimize treatment effectiveness and safety
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by following safety protocols
Documentation & Safety
  • Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and nursing notes
  • Strict adherence to protocols
Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore healthcare regulations and requirements from the Ministry of Health (MOH)
Continuing Education
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and continuing education related to oncology and hyperthermia therapy
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Diploma in Nursing
  • Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in patient monitoring and ED or intensive care
  • Experience in oncology would be an added advantage
  • Strong nursing/medical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
  • Compassionate, patient‑centric approach to care
  • High integrity, sound judgment and attention to detail
