Job Summary

The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents and families, other inter‑disciplinary colleagues, and providers to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, using age‑specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.

Provides preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, and coordinates care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA) preferred;
    Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure through a Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Obtains and maintains required departmental competencies and certifications.
