Salary Range: $32.00 - $48.00
- Travel required within a 150‑mile radius of permanent address
- Mileage reimbursement provided for required travel
- Premium Pay Rates: $5 per hour on all hours worked; $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential; $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- 3 months in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
- Minimum of 30 hours per month
- One weekend shift per month
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents and families, and inter‑disciplinary colleagues—including providers—to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing appropriate age and population‑specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
The RN provides care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, and is responsible for coordination of care, resident assessment, resident education, and various other nursing interventions. The RN may serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their competencies and the skill level of the delegate, and providing sufficient assistance and support to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns.
The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules in the state of practice and licensure, acknowledging the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with interpretive statements published by the American Nurses Association.
Education: Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA);
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Age: Minimum of 18 years.
License: Holds an unencumbered RN license with the state board of nursing where practice occurs, or possesses multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Must obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
