Position: Care Services Nurse (LPN) | Nights

Job Summary

Facility: GSS NE Bloomfield. Shift: 12 Hours – Night (6 pm–6:30 am). Rotating weekends and holidays. Pay: $7,500.00 with sign‑on bonus. Shift differentials available for nights (6 pm–6 am) and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles, competencies, and full scope of nursing expertise for residents in the relevant clinical setting.

Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the needed care.

Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.

Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.

Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.

Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health‑care providers, and the public.

Work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.

Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician on prevention and treatment plans.

Apply resident education principles to develop a self‑care program.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

If the position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program with IV therapy in the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.

Attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.

Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with state nursing board and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges.

Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
