Location: Orchard
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessment (vital signs, medical history, allergies).
- Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery.
- Administer pre-operative medications as prescribed.
- Verify consent forms and ensure surgical safety checks.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery expectations.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during procedures.
- Maintain sterile field and infection control practices.
- Prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and level of consciousness in recovery area.
- Assess pain levels and administer medications.
- Observe for complications (bleeding, infection, adverse reactions).
- Provide wound care and dressing changes.
