Skyview at Bridgeport is actively seeking a Full-Time Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department with professionalism, compassion, and clinical excellence. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and coordination of nursing services within the facility. This role works closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and a positive, supportive culture for nursing staff.
Responsibilities- Direct, develop, and oversee all nursing programs and services
- Develop, implement, and regularly update nursing policies, procedures, manuals, and standards of practice
- Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure seamless resident care
- Identify areas of risk or deficiency and implement corrective action plans
- Oversee clinical documentation, medical records, reports, and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
- Support resident admission, discharge planning, and care transitions
- Establish and maintain an effective nursing organizational structure
- Lead and participate in state and federal surveys, inspections, and audits
- Prepare and submit reports, recommendations, and operational updates to the Administrator
- Mentor, support, and develop nursing leadership and staff

- Associate degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - Active Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of one year of successful nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or geriatric healthcare setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Genuine compassion and commitment to the geriatric population
