PERM Sample Lab - Lab Assistant; West, Nitec​/Dip OK! #HFT

MON - FRI, OFFICE HOURS

• Perform accurate compounding of flavor according to formula.
• Produce lab-scale batch for savoury process flavor.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Perform standard laboratory tests according to prescribed procedures and record the test results.
• Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures when handling raw materials and chemicals.
• Pack, label and prepare sample for QC and outgoing.
• Coordinate with the Flavorist and Quality Control Department and ensure compounded samples meet the standard.
• Monitor, review and replenish raw materials when inventory is low in the laboratory.
• Ensure raw materials used in the laboratory are stored in the correct condition and location to ensure quality and safety.
• Review and ensure optimal inventory level of library flavors.
• Maintain good housekeeping and a clean and safe working environment in the laboratory.
• Clean lab equipment, washing of glassware and apparatus after use.
• To carry out any additional job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time

• NITEC / Diploma in Food Science or equivalent in years of similar experience
• Good organizing skills & time management skills
• Basic laboratory procedures and methodology
