Location: Broken Bow, NE
Pay: $18.50–19.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Rotating 1st Shift | 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM
4 Days On / 4 Days Off (11-hour shifts)
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our client's team in Broken Bow. This position is responsible for the daily monitoring and processing of materials to ensure efficient operations and maximum value for our customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, prioritizes safety, and takes pride in maintaining organized and compliant workflows.
This is a hands-on, physical role that requires lifting up to 50 pounds, extensive walking, and frequent forklift operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a variety of industrial equipment including balers, forklifts, grinders, and other site-specific machinery.
Process production scrap, sort recyclable materials, and bale cardboard and plastic film.
Load finished products onto trailers and ensure safe, secure loading procedures.
Package food waste and recycling materials into appropriate containers in compliance with transportation regulations and disposal/recycling site requirements.
Create and manage shipping documentation including Bill of Lading, Packing Lists, Trailer Checklists, Waste Manifests, and related paperwork.
Generate packing lists for outbound loads and accurately document item weights.
Monitor materials daily and ensure proper handling procedures are followed.
Communicate operational challenges and questions to the Operations Supervisor.
Attend all required safety trainings, report incidents or near misses, and wear required PPE at all times.
Contribute ideas for operational improvements and efficiency enhancements.
May operate a 22-foot box truck or vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001+ pounds when required.
Participate in ongoing training to expand knowledge of company products and services.
Perform additional duties as needed to support company goals and mission.
Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, or industrial environments preferred.
Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus).
Ability to operate or learn to operate industrial equipment.
Strong attention to detail, especially with documentation and shipping paperwork.
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
Ability to work 11-hour shifts in a physically demanding environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
Physically active role with frequent walking and equipment operation.
