Operations Manager, Production Manager
Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is hiring a Plant Superintendent to play a key leadership role at our new degumming facility in David City, Nebraska. This position reports directly to the Plant Operations Manager and is responsible for leading day-to-day plant operations, driving safe and efficient production, and developing a high-performing team.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys building processes, and takes pride in running a safe, efficient plant.
What You’ll DoLead daily plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production.
Inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, coordinate shutdowns, and communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, and management.
Monitor production output and quality, ensuring standards are consistently met.
Oversee equipment performance and ensure preventative maintenance practices are followed.
Train, supervise, and develop plant employees by:
Scheduling work and assigning responsibilities
Monitoring quality and productivity
Conducting performance evaluations
Addressing employee relations and disciplinary matters as needed
Develop and manage operational and improvement projects.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Participate in company meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of supervisory or plant leadership experience (manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment preferred).
Experience or knowledge of refined oil processing or degumming operations strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations related to plant operations.
Proven ability to lead, train, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
Strong problem‑solving skills with analytical thinking and solid organizational abilities.
Hands‑on comfort operating industrial machinery, hand and power tools, and standard office equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.Strong communication skills with a professional, respectful leadership style.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and remain flexible when priorities shift.
