Analyst, Production Control Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Production Control Analyst for the Lindsay, NE manufacturing plant. This role will be responsible for optimizing production processes, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient scheduling to meet customer demands. This role involves a focus on data analysis, coordination with cross‑functional teams, and maintaining production targets.
Position DetailsThis key role is a full‑time salaried position located at the Lindsay, NE location. Duties & Responsibilities Production Planning and Coordination- Collaborate with production managers and operations teams to develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
- Analyze production capacity and recommend adjustments to meet changing demand.
- Monitor production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and identifying potential issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records to support production needs and prevent stock shortages.
- Assist in managing optimal levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to identify production trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights.
- Assist in assessing production processes and suggesting improvements for better efficiency.
- Contribute to the implementation of process enhancements.
- Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities and suggest ways to make work easier or faster.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams for seamless operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material availability.
- Utilize advanced manufacturing software systems, Business Central ERP platforms, and data analysis tools to manage production processes and track performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Some experience in production control, production planning, or related roles is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, production planning software, and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
