Scale Clerk

Job Description

The scale clerk supports the movement of grain through Ag Valley's elevator system.

• Operate scale weighing both inbound and outbound trucks
• Sample, grade, and test grain
• Operate scale computers, print and file tickets
• Direct customers to proper dumping stations
• Communicate with elevator staff on types and quality of grain received
• Provide front line customer service duties

• Basic math, computer, and organizational skills essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
• Attention to detail, accurate data entry skills
• Ability to work in close proximity to grain and grain dust
• Must be able to be on their feet in a fast‑paced environment
• Applicant should be able to work extended harvest hours
