Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods, serving as a flex plant capable of producing everything from pasteurized eggs to liquid, dried, hardboiled, and curds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of the department.
• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules.
• Conduct daily pre-op inspections.
• Follow daily production start-up procedures.
• Be cross-trained in two sanitation jobs.
• Report equipment or mechanical issues.
• Participate in team inspections of the area.
• Report any conditions affecting food safety, quality, or safety.
• Replace gaskets and ensure room compliance.
• Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to safety policies.
• Follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and report any food safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education.
• Ability to read simple words and recognize similarities/differences in words and numbers.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Capable of understanding and following oral instructions.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Work effectively with others and independently.
• Open to change and positive interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and responsible at work.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 lbs safely.
• Work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty, and humid environments.
• Ability to stop, bend, and stand for most of the shift.
• Work with chemicals safely.
