Location:

Bloomfield, Nebraska. The facility is located three miles outside of Northeast Nebraska's busiest community and is a cage-free facility producing liquid egg product.

Supervises and coordinates all activities associated with byproducts sales, handling, and spreading. Responsible for supervision of personnel, safety, compliance with FSIS regulations, and sanitation processes.

• Provides a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Completion of all safety audits, scans & inspections.
• Responsible for the general safety of employees.
• Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures and incorporates safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
• Involved in SRMP (Safety & Risk Management Process).
• Educates customers on proper application rates and handles their questions and concerns.
• Responsible for sales and A/R for the By-Products Department.
• Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Supervises employees by scheduling work, evaluating performance, and making hiring and termination recommendations.
• Responsible for a safe work environment and proactively find solutions.
• Generate operation and environmental compliance reports.
• Develop and/or maintain an operation that actively promotes the highest possible level of equipment, environmental and employee safety.
• Develop and/or maintain the programs necessary to ensure all employees are properly trained to meet company objectives relating to product safety, human relations, and professional development.
• Supervise employees within the parameters of company policies relating to work rules, absenteeism, discipline, payroll, hiring, performance reviews, and termination while maintaining proper documentation.
• Be familiar with all regulations affecting proper placement of raw manure.
• Responsible for efficient operation of Manure Department.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, using currency and measurement units.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions, deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Knowledge of:
  • Fertilizer and Agronomy
  • Environmental Regulations and Manure Application Procedures
  • Truck and equipment repair
  • DOT Regulations
• Computer experience preferred.
• Able to train and motivate department personnel.
• Coordinate and supervise department functions (department meetings, farm ops meetings, safety trainings).
• Able to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner.
• Must be able to work overtime or weekends when required.
• Be able to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve.
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills.

Pay range: $70,048 – $103,671 per year.
