Overview

Sanitation Tech (Husker Pride) role at Michael Foods. This position is responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of the breaking areas and related duties.

Michael Foods, Inc. located in Wakefield, Nebraska.

• Responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of the department area.
• Accountable for performing daily, weekly and monthly master sanitation schedules for the department area.
• Responsible for daily pre-op inspections.
• Responsible for following daily production start-up procedures.
• Cross-trained in two sanitation jobs.
• Report any equipment/mechanical problems.
• Able to work with team efforts when inspecting the area.
• Adhere to safe work practices, GMPs, sanitary conditions and ensure product quality; report to management if conditions may affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Follow plant goals without prompting; follow GMPs, PPE, and LOTO guidelines without prompting.
• Reference the CP Manual for questions about the sanitation program.
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures for caustics, acids, quats, bleach, and peracetic.
• Capable of conducting effective pre-op to RTE standards.
• Ability to titrate correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
