Location: Orchard
On behalf of one of its clients in the aviation and aerospace industry, The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is recruiting an Operations Manager/ General Manager to take over the day-to-day management of the business and act as the founder’s right hand. This role is highly operational while also requiring a global, long-term vision to guide the company’s growth and structure.
The role focuses on operational excellence, contract delivery, and team leadership, with the possibility to assume broader responsibilities (P&L, sales, back office) depending on the profile.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Delivery (Core Role)- Ensure contracts are delivered on time and within budget
- Drive operational performance through KPIs and clear priorities
- Implement efficient, scalable operational processes
- Coordinate teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee all operational and client projects
- Bring strong project management expertise
- Guide, coach, manage, and supervise project managers and operational leaders
- Secure planning, resources, costs, risks, and delivery quality
- Oversee supply chain and procurement activities
- Optimize suppliers, costs, lead times, and service quality
- Ensure continuity and quality of services delivered to clients
- Lead approximately 20 employees, with 5 direct reports
- Provide a global, strategic view to young but highly skilled teams
- Structure, align, and upskill operational teams
Depending on the scope assigned, the role may also include:
P&L and Business Ownership- Full responsibility for P&L, budgeting, and profitability
- Oversight of finance and back-office functions
- Supervise sales performance, pipeline, and revenue growth
- Ensure alignment between sales, operations, and delivery
- Oversee finance, administration, and support functions, supported by internal teams and/or outsourced providers
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, COO, or General Manager in an SME environment
- Strong project management background with a track record of delivering on time and on budget
- Experience in supply chain, procurement, and services management
- Autonomous, structured, and results-driven leader
- Ability to operate both hands‑on and strategically, with a long-term perspective
